Volunteering for Klaws

Klaws - Animal Rescue Kerry - Kenmare

I proudly volunteer as a photographer for the animal rescue charity KLAWS, which was founded in 2006 by a group of animal loving volunteers in Kenmare, Co. Kerry.

Volunteering as a photographer for an animal rescue charity is a deeply rewarding experience. Through my lens, I capture the unique personalities and stories of animals in need, creating images that help them find loving homes. Each photo becomes a beacon of hope, connecting hearts to the furry souls waiting for a second chance. Beyond the technical skill, you witness the transformation of lives—both theirs and the adopters—as I contribute to a mission of compassion and care. The gratitude of the animals and the joy of seeing them thrive make every moment behind the camera truly unforgettable.

Calendar Photos

Four of the gorgeous doggies, I was able to photograph, made it into the 2025 Klaws calendar. Bruno (January), Puck (May), Sadie (July) and Brownie (September) are not only decorating the walls of the Klaws community, they also found lovely new homes and live happy ever after.
